Designed by Michael Thonet in 1859, the No. 30 Bentwood Chair is a timeless classic, often called “the chair of the chairs.” Its elegant, lightweight design and versatile functionality make it an ideal choice for dining tables, desks, or as a stylish accent piece in any room. Made from durable FSC certified beechwood, the chair is available with a wood or upholstered seat and can be customised with a variety of finishes, including stains and lacquers, to suit your design needs.

At loop and twist, we’ve taken inspiration from the original No. 30 and done what we do best: giving classics new life. By reimagining this iconic design with our “classics reborn” philosophy, we preserve its timeless essence while infusing it with modern craftsmanship and attention to detail. This is a chair for those who value heritage with a contemporary twist.

Daily cleaning is done with a clean dry cloth. Use a damp cloth soaked in clean water for light soiling. Harsh or abrasive cleaners should never be used as they can cause damage and, in the worst case, scratch the stained surface. It is not recommended to use sharp tools for cleaning as this can cause damage and deep scratches in the stained surface.

Avoid using cleaning products with chemicals.
